Set sail with Playtime Sportfishing in Kailua-Kona, Hawaii, where Captain Shawn—who’s been fishing since before he could walk—guides you through the Pacific’s rich waters. Whether you’re a seasoned angler or a curious first-timer, you’ll have the chance to hook into Blue Marlin, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, and more, using techniques like trolling, jigging, or even fly fishing (just bring your own gear). Families are welcome, and kids can join the adventure—just check for child-sized life vests on board.
Your journey begins on a 26-foot Shamrock sportfishing vessel, equipped with outriggers, downriggers, a fighting chair, and all the essentials for a successful day on the water. The boat comfortably accommodates up to four passengers and includes a toilet for convenience. All rods, reels, tackle, and lures are provided, and a First Mate is on hand to assist you in landing the big one. Pack your hat, sunglasses, and non-spray sunscreen. We provide bottled water, and you may bring a few drinks—just skip the hard liquor and leave the glass bottles behind.
